What is Juvederm Volbella?
WHAT IS JUVEDERM VOLBELLA?
Allergan is providing a new addition to the Juvéderm family! This product is called Volbella and works like magic for the lips. Volbella, though it’s still under the umbrella of Juvéderm, was made specifically for the lip area. This special formula works to add a controlled amount of volume to the lips that is long-lasting. In addition, Volbella is made with hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance found within the human body to aide in hydration, elasticity and volume. In this sense, individuals are able to enhance their lips utilizing natural components. The Juvéderm family is known for having formulas with varying consistencies and strength to treat various areas. Results generally last about a year before a touch-up is necessary. The goal with Volbella is to create a natural appearance while stimulating collagen production in the injection site.
What does Juvederm Volbella treat?
Because of the versatility that this treatment offers, there are a variety of areas for it to treat. These are the areas that it can treat to repair lost volume and rebuild symmetry:
- Corner of the mouth
- Smoker’s lines
- Marionette lines
These are the most common areas of the face that are being treated with Volbella to rebuild the definition.
What is the procedure like near Cleveland?
The first thing you should do is schedule a consultation. During this time, you will be assessed and examined so that the specialist is aware of your current state of health. Based on your beauty goals and treatment candidacy, a special plan will be mapped out to fulfill your needs- while giving you the best results possible. This is also the perfect time to ask questions about your options and address any concerns you may have. You will also receive pre and post treatment care instructions, to ensure that you heal properly without risk or adverse effects.
Juvederm Volbella is a quick, outpatient procedure, lasting on average 30 minutes. There is no downtime involved, allowing patients to schedule their consultation even on their lunch break and return to their daily activities immediately after treatment. At the start of the procedure, the targeted area will be cleansed and prepped. A very fine needle will then be utilized to administer small amounts of Volbella to the lips. Since Juvederm Volbella contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, discomfort is minimal, with most patients reporting a pain-free procedure.
Post-treatment, mild irritation and swelling may occur at the site of the injection. However, these side effects are normal and should subside naturally within a few days. It is recommended that patients avoid excessive exposure to the sun and high temperatures, as well as strenuous exercise, for a few days after treatment.
